Who we are
Letters from Embervale™ is made by Storyrealm Studios, LLC (“we” and “us”). If you have a question about your information, write to hello@lettersfromembervale.com.
What we collect
When you place an order, we ask for what we need to personalize and deliver the adventure:
- Your name, email address and mailing address, as the purchaser.
- The child’s first name, exactly as it should appear in the story, their gender, and their mailing address.
- What the child calls the Elder Guardian, the Elder Guardian’s gender, full name, mailing address and email address.
When you ask for the free first letter, we collect the details you enter in that form, such as your email address.
Payments are handled by our payment provider through a secure form. We do not see or keep your full card number.
How we use it
- To write, personalize, print and mail the letters and treasures you ordered.
- To send order confirmations and service messages to the purchaser.
- To send the monthly companion emails to the Elder Guardian.
- To answer your questions.
- If you asked for the free first letter, to send it and occasional emails about Letters from Embervale. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.
Children
Letters from Embervale is bought by grown-ups. We ask for a child’s first name and mailing address only from the adult placing the order, so we can personalize and deliver the story. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you think a child has sent us information, write to hello@lettersfromembervale.com and we will delete it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run Embervale, such as our website and form platform, payment processing, email delivery, and printing and mailing, and only as they need it to do that work. We may also share information when the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Our order and sign-up forms are provided by our form platform, which may use cookies or similar technology to work properly. If we add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy first.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to deliver your year of letters and keep our records, or as long as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by writing to hello@lettersfromembervale.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new date.
